All Nations Are Under God

Psalms 33:12: Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

Whether they like it or not, all nations are under God. When it suits His purposes He gives them righteous or wicked leadership.

Daniel 2:21: And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:

Whether they like it or not all individuals, including kings, are under God.

Proverbs 21:1: The king*s heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.

Daniel 4:17: This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.

Job 12:18: He looseth the bond of kings, and girdeth their loins with a girdle. 19 He leadeth princes away spoiled, and overthroweth the mighty.

Individuals who do not want to be under God can accurately be described as rebels. I was a rebel the first half of my life.

Ezekiel 20:38: And I will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me: I will bring them forth out of the country where they sojourn, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

An important difference between unbelievers and believers is that the believers are obedient to God. Rebels become servants. Spiritual growth is accompanied by an increase in obedience.

Luke 6:46: And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

John 14:15: If ye love me, keep my commandments. 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father*s commandments, and abide in his love.

1 John 2:3: And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

Romans 1:5: By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name: 16:26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:

Romans 15:18: For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ hath not wrought by me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed,

If you are not willingly and joyfully under God, you have a problem. I pray it won*t be a lifelong and eternal problem.
